Desktop version doesn't show anymore

Since a few days the desktop website version can't be forced to show anymore on mobile devices using Firefox or Chrome, rendering SA completely useless for me, as the mobile website replacement doesn't show notifications nor the article categories I'm interested in either. So I guess I'm in the category "Former SA user" from now on... :-(

You can use the browsers "request desktop version" or go to the menu, scroll to the bottom and hit the "Desktop version" link.

What's more, the mobile version doesn't show which comments are new. And then, when choosing desktop version, that one doesn't show them anymore either, so you have to sift through 100s of comments to see which 3 are the newest based on date & time.

Any chance you can get this repaired any time soon? The fastest non-permanent solution seems to be to make the Desktop Version link in your menu work. That way we can at least get to the content we're interested in. This way it's totally useless for many. I'll give it another week but then I'm out. It's a pity the SA platform has deteriorated so far that it has become useless for loyal long-term readers. Time to leave I guess...
