Notifications not populating on an Amazon Fire HD 7 (9TH Generation)

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the SA app and I'm still not seeing notifications on an Amazon Fire HD 7 (9TH Generation).  On my.Fire HD 10 (7TH Generation) and on my iPhone notifications populate as expected. The SA app was installed from the Google Play.Store on my Fire tablets.

I removed your app which was not getting notifications from our end since it was missing a token.  PLease try to uninstall and reinstall and you should start to receive them

2019-09--07: I have uninstalled and.reinstalled the app. No luck. I see the unread notifications on my.iPhone but.not on Amazon Fire HD 7 (9TH Generation).

2019-09-08: The problem is worse. Now, I am not seeing notifications on my Fire HD 10 (7th Generation) and I am not seeing notifications on my Fire HD 7 (9th Generation).  I am able to see notifications on my iPhone.

I sent you a test notification for article "The Mystery Of Dividend Stripping" did you receive it ?

All of your tokens look ok and I did not get any error when sending the notification

Jacob,

I did not receive the notification "The Mystery Of Dividend Stripping" on my Fire HD 7 tablet.  I did receive the notification on my Fire HD 10.

Still no luck receiving notifications on the new Fire HD 7.

I just got a Fire 7, 9th Gen, and still the same problem. Some apps will send notifications, others just don't work on this platform. The crazy thing is that some apps made by Amazon from the amazon store just don't work for notifications. The most obvious example of this is the "Alexa" app, which absolutely will not send any notifications, no matter what I do, which means I never get notified of anything that Alexa wants to tell me (such as package arrived at the door), this combined with the fact that Ring doesn't notify either makes the device much less useful as a smart home hub. I haven't tried Blink yet, but I bet it has the same issue.

This seems like a major bug which sits squarely with Amazon, no matter how you cut it. I can understand how this forked version of Android might handle notifications differently, and it might require the app developers do do something specific for this platform, but in these cases Amazon *is* the app developer, and some of the apps mentioned actually even come pre-installed on the tablet. Serious Amazon, get your act together.

Thank you for pinpointing the source of the problem, which appears to be the FireOS running on my Fire 7, 9th Generation.

Much appreciate the help and your quick responses!

Hopefully, Amazon will publish an update to FireOS that will correct the notification problem soon.
