Can not go back go main page after a search

If I search for a few things-stock, author(s), etc. when I hit the back arrow it brings me back to the previous search. For exampld, If I search through 7 equity symbols and readings; then if I want to go back to the main page, I have to exit out of the app. Otherwise, if I attempt to go back it will bring me back to every single previous page
