Wrong Sector

Lejun James Shao 3 years ago in Website updated by SA Jacob Maltz 3 years ago 1

TACO - It is the producer of Silver and Gold but is put into Steel & Iron sector.

Am I wrong? My own database shows it is in Industrial Metals and Minerals sector.

How do I make a comment?

LeonardoDog 3 years ago in Website 0

I have been away for awhile so maybe I'm out to lunch, but I can't figure out how to comment. I find a stock and there's no field to comment in. I've been able to reply, but not comment. Does a stock need to be in my pf before I can comment on it? Ideas?

Disabled Firefox Adblocker, but SA keeps giving me screens saying adblocker not turned off

anonymous 3 years ago in Website updated by SA Admin Jonathan Liss 3 years ago 1

After whitelisting seekingalpha.com, I continue to get messages to whitelist Seekingalpha.com. So I disabled ghostery tracking protection. Still no joy. Then I disabled firefox's built in tracking protection. I don't mind whitelisting ads, but minimal tracking protection should not be flagged as an ad blocker. Thank you.

Portfolio in left margin

Is it possible to disable the portfolio on the left of the page? If not I will delete my portfolios. This must be the worst idea ever... :-(

On the Latest Articles page, the ad alignment covers the left of the article titles

twoeyes 3 years ago in Website updated 3 years ago 2

Hi. Starting a couple weeks ago, the left vertical ad on this page, http://seekingalpha.com/articles, will overlap the left part of the article titles AFTER SCROLLING DOWN a little - possibly happens when the Themes | Sectors | etc bar at the top scrolls off the screen. This is in current Chrome, Win 7 Pro, Full HD res screen, with Windows task bar at the left as opposed to bottom. I don't think it's resolution related though, it still happens when I resize the window to be random fractions of the screen width.

Wow... paste of an image actually worked...

System doesn't let me enter any new articles.

Les Mezei 3 years ago in Website updated 3 years ago 2

Chrome doesn't display a scroll bar on the right side of screen and IE just freezes up on the "what do you want to write" screen.

In Safari Seeking Alpha forces a graphics switch to the discrete GPU for no obvious reason, depleting the battery

redarm 3 years ago in Website 0

Please don't force a GPU switch for MacBook Pro users with Safari. There is no obvious reason to do so, especially on pages with nearly no GPU intensive objects.

The discrete GPU rapidly depletes the battery.

Tech problems with website

skifun333 3 years ago in Website updated 3 years ago 2

I am constantly having to renew the page I am viewing because it freezes. Also I'll click on another article and I'm no longer logged in to your site. Yet I seems as if I am logged in but I can't see my user picture. There's nowhere for me to actually log out so I can log in again. I seem to be in limbo where I can't see new comments on articles I'm following and I can't comment on any article at all. The bugs are getting extremely tiresome and obnoxious. Your adds make your web pages take forever and a day to load.

Help us optimize our quote page menu

SA Admin Daniel Hochman 3 years ago in Website updated by JHHAlpha 9 months ago 5

Hi All,

We are currently working on improving our quote pages. One test we are running moves our menu from the center of the page to the left side (in place of the ad). This gives us more room to expose all our great content and moves all options within the reach of one click.

One of the key challenges we face is how to organize and categorize our quote page menu. We'd like to crowd source this and ask you to help us with a "Card Sorting" exercise.

It's fun and only takes a few minutes to complete:

Help us make our quote pages awesome and grow the SA community!

Thanks,
Daniel
