The new UI is terrible

SA used to be great because it put a lot of relevant data into well formatted tables that worked well on the phones. Now the excessive padding spacing and need to scroll both up/down and left/right make this much less desirable than just basic stock apps and CNBC.

The worst bug is reading news and changing the orientation of the screen. There is now webpage like scrolling in the articles (as opposed to reader-style views, and if the orientation changes to landscape it locks in that way and makes the app unusable if you switch back to portrait.

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.  Could you please give specific examples of what views you are referring to ?  We have added a tremendous amount of data to the new apps, and yes, some of the views show more information if you scroll left to right but those views were not available in the old app at all.   Our goal was to make everything that was in the old app convenient to access in the new app.  At the same time, every feature in the desktop site should be accessible in the new mobile app even if some of those views might be less convenient to access. If your experience does not match this, I need to know so we can address it.

In terms of changing the orientation, I am just not sure what you are experiencing, because I rotate back and forth and the app recovers nicely.  Try to kill the app by swiping it away and restart.  if the problems persists, please post some instructions on how I can recreate the problem.

Thanks for your help.

Jacob, how can you not notice that most comments bluntly dislike this new format, in total?

Have you not noticed the drop in traffic - and revenue (I'm guessing here, but I can't imagine the numbers being anything less than undesirable).
