my settings profile showsan old email account, wont let me change it, yet i get messages from you on my new email account.

I suppose it means you created two accounts. I suggest you log out of the old one and log into the new one. If you don't know the password for the new one, click "forgot password".
I want to keep my profiles “Great Swami” because it has those I follow and those that follow me but because my old email is no longer active I can’t seem to change user setting to update my old profile with my new email address
