SA App will not log me in

My Galaxy S7 will run the "new" SA App but asks me to login using my email. When I enter my email it says "We were unable to reach Seeking Alpha. Please try again in a few minutes.  My older Galaxy S5 opens the app just fine so i know it is communicating with Seeking Alpha servers. What's going on?

Also, try entering a bad password, do you get a different message or the same message ?  Do you run any kind of vpn or content blocker ?  Can you log in to the mobile web via chrome on the same device ?
