My email alerts keep getting turned off due to an error but I have no control over my provider.

My email client does not move them to Spam, my provider just sends these errors to you I guess but I have no control over them and no way to whitelist you.

There is no reason SA should turn off emails, and especially without notifying me, a paying customer. Shame on you!
