I forgot my password.So I go through the steps of "Forgot password". it gives me a link to automatically sign in. But then when I go to create a new password, IT REQUIRES ME TO ENTER THE OLD ONE! Does any one at Seeking alpha see the problem?? you can't

you can't change the password (which you forgot) without knowing the old password (which you forgot)!!!!

When can we expect a solution for this issue? 


I want to upgrade, but will only do so once I get proper access to my account and can change things like my e-mail address. In order to do so, need to reset my password.

Hi,

You may use the on-click sign-in feature using your Gmail account, or can mail yourself the login link and access your account via clicking on the link in the email.
That said, we're working on fixing the password reset process.

I know that I can login (otherwise I would not have been able to post this), but as I said; I want to update my profile details. Which I can only do with a new password. 

Thanks for looking into this; but can you give us an indication of when you expect a fix? It seems like this problem already exists for quite a while now.

ditto - this is the craziest password forgot system I've ever seen.  Nice it logs you in from email w/ no password - but impossible to use the app in an app centric world???
