Twitter Vs Seeking Alpha
I increasingly like Twitter over Seeking Alpha because I can filter my feed down to people who post timely, profitable ideas. On this website I cannot. Your algo makes it hard to discover smaller authors. It's a crap shoot if they will pop up at all, and I have first filter through countless people - the same ones over and over - who I 100% know I will *never* click their article because it's designed to maximize clicks rather than have useful content.
I understand why you do this, but you should give some users the *option* of having a more twitter like experience. My suggestion is really simple: when an author is muted, their work no longer appears in trending articles or the stock ideas feed. This way over time I can filter for content that is personalized for me.
This problem is getting worse over time, fwiw, and given the Trend I will stop reading SA articles entirely soon since it's not worth the time.
Thanks for the feedback, I'll relay it to our product team.
