Seriously confused what index fund or ETF to pick out for a 20 year investment

So there are hundreds, if not, thousands of ETFs and index funds to choose from. Im trying to create a portfolio for my next 15 to 20 years, then maybe just switch it up to something a bit more conservative. I have decided to go with ARK ETFs. After asking some questions, a lot of crap was given to me that I should not invest in that and a lot of recommendations was thrown everything from green energy ETF, to value ETFs, to VOO and VTI. A lot of people were also saying do a passive ETF instead of an active ETF. So kind of see why I am confused. I can see why if they think innovation companies are going to die out in the next 10 years, but are they really? is AI and internet of things going to be gone in 5 to 10 years? If people cant predict future markets, why is ARK and QQQ such a bad choice?

I was thinking QQQ, QQQJ, BOTZ, ARKK, ARKQ, ARKF. or should I just do VTI or VOO 100% and call it a day?
