“Yes, AMD is trading sideways instead of down. If shorts were not covering, and this GS trash did not come out, AMD would be down, just as MU ....”

This GS trash came out only on Friday morning, and AMD was ‘down’ on Friday’s close. 

Hence, I can’t see your logic behind AMD would be downwards instead of being sideways had it not been due (partly) to this GS article published.
