SA new commenting format is terrible!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE get rid of the extremely inconvenient (and extremely annoying) "See More Replies" function which hides comments and makes it impossible to search for them.
I have seen many comments hating this new feature. It just makes the platform harder and less enjoyable to use!

Hi,

At the bottom of the article next to the comments box, you can click on the options menu and click on 'Expand all' to expand all comments posted to the article.

Let me second that recommendation. For those of us who like to respond to replies to our comments, it is impossible to find them using our username as we used to because of the way the new format hides replies. 

I predict you will find out that articles are getting fewer clicks and comments because of this annoying change. Please admit your mistake and go back to the old way of presenting comments.

I agree. And maybe this is what is causing the problem replying to comments, but when I see a notification and click on it, I am often rocketed off into space. Something's not right at all. We also can't use the @+user name to reply, so that's another way we're all getting lost.

I see no advantages to the new formats, comments, reversing text and background, location of 'new' label for a comment. Clunky.

Unfortunately it does NOT satisfy me.  I have little tolerance for stupidity and having a feature that arbitrarily hides comments is stupid.  There is no reason for it. You never used to do it.  I don't see any reason why this "show more replies" or "Load Previous Comments" even exists. When the format goes back to the 2020 format where when I will resume reading and writing on SA

We understand how it is designed to works.  But, it is a very inconvenient design.  And it is very frustrating to use when commenting.  Also, the Notifications links do not always work, often completely failing to connect to any fresh comment.  Also, the link at the top of the comment thread indicating the new comments below does not work at all, never takes me to a comment.  TOTAL FAILURE.
