No longer able to print articles

I enjoyed printing SA articles to read offline until today, when it seems I can no longer do so. Will printing be enabled again at some point?

Quick Question: are you using the dedicated print button on the top left of the article page?

In my investigation, I've found no issues with the print functionality. Also, please check your printer settings.
If this does not solve your issue, please let us know here and we'll further investigate the issue.

I am able to print again, but I had to switch browsers from Firefox to Google Chrome. (I had also tried to print with Safari but couldn't.) Then I noticed a print button at the bottom of the article on my portrait-oriented monitor, so I used that.

Google Chrome is a fine browser but I understand it provides user data to Google, which is why I prefer Firefox.

Sorry, I spoke too soon. Using the print button, I was only able to print the first page of the article.

Hi Kushal,

Thanks for your reply. I view SA articles on a monitor I have rotated to portrait, rather than landscape mode. The print button does not appear in this orientation, only a Share button at the top right of the article. However, when I switch monitors to one with a landscape orientation, the button is there and works fine. Here is a screen shot of the top of an article page in portrait-mode:


It's a bit inconvenient to drag the window and resize it for the landscape monitor. It would be really helpful if you could add the print button when viewing in portrait mode. I guess this is the result of your responsive design, which might think my portrait-style monitor is a cell phone.
