Every time I follow a new stock, it changes my Portfolio settings to subscribed

Every time I follow a new stock, it turns my Portfolio setting back to subscribed.  That means I get the daily emails on my portfolio.  I don't want to receive that every day.  Can you please change this so it doesn't automatically change this to subscribed every time I follow a new company?

Hi,

As a policy, we turn on alerts for every ticker added to portfolio. Many of our users derive value from that.
If you do not want to receive emails, you can simply turn the notifications off for the ticker via the 'manage alerts' button, located on the top right.

I know you turn that alert on.  But I'm referring to the daily email I get on my Portfolio.  Every time I add a ticker to my portfolio, that setting gets turned back to subscribed.  Not just for the ticker, but for the portfolio.

I have to remember to go back in and unsubscribe to that every time I add a new ticker symbol.

I am experiencing this bug also, this is not related to alerts on individual stocks. Whenever you add a new stock to a portfolio SA starts automatically e-mailing you daily portfolio summary updates. At the bottom of the e-mail it says "Why are you receiving this? You subscribed to Daily Portfolio Summary on your portfolio XXX at Seeking Alpha. Unsubscribe here." But this is incorrect, I never subscribed to daily portfolio summary, all I did was add a new ticker to the portfolio. Please fix, thank you.

@gqk, thank you!  That is what I'm trying to point out.  Every time you follow a new company, it automatically subscribes you to the Daily Portfolio Summary.

Having the exact same issue. Every day, I manually turn my subscription for a certain portfolio off entirely again and again. Upon adding a new company to a watchlist, it should never automatically turn on portfolio summary for that particular account. Please make changes to that!
