SA loses value for me without older archive access. And it is shameful that Contributors of free articles on popular stocks now get paid zero while subsidizing your Pro members. IMO you need to rethink this grand new revenue generation strategy.

Without the ability to research new stocks, this is no longer the go to platform for research.  It decreases the value of the site significantly.

I did not know that contributors of free articles now get paid zero.  If so how are they ever hoping to attract new users?  Especially after they lose a good chunk due to this new policy.  One of the most valued commodities on seeking alpha is the diverse viewpoints on different subjects in the comments.  This sounds like they just started a leaking downward spiral of this value/content on their site as losing users begets losing more users.

I just found out about the fees from one of the subscriber from Insider Forum, which I subscribe to. SA is being greedy and it is likely that I will less likely to visit their website if the $75/month fees are implemented. Good Luck to your new marketing plan SA.

jonathanfield . Thank you for the post! I think the fees are ridiculous and I will not spend as much time looking at SA services in the future. I believe SA has few fantastic, experienced authors. What enhances they value they authors provide is the counter arguments offered by the readers. I am assuming that that will be lost with the fees."

I'm confused about access to older (than 2 weeks) articles. Are they available only on an author-by-author fee basis or is there a single SA access fee?

Yup. At $600.00 a year.  Or $75.00 monthly.   No thanks.

Two week Free trial?  With Credit Card.   No thanks.

My personal observation:  Fewer valuable comments.  Probably due to a readership drop-off since we can't see the older articles that we used to use as part of our knowledge gathering for a stock that caught our eye.

As the OP said: "This sounds like they just started a leaking downward spiral of this value/content on their site as losing users begets losing more users."
