Seeking Alpha has every right to charge ... just as I have every right to leave. And I'm not interested in receiving endless email alerts only to find my article limit is restricted. It's free or nothing for me.
Poor financial decision by SA from my vantage point, especially at the price point of $20 monthly for a year subscription. I see many of the authors are already ramping up their own websites and YouTube channels to allow past SA non-paying subscribers other options. Would rather give my dime to them directly if at all.
For present, I have simply deleted all my email alerts. If further bothered will delete my profile all together.
I have also unsubscribed from all SA emails. I hope they will notify me when they go back to free, I'm guessing six months until they come around. It would be interesting to see the math behind their decision. Some consultant is giving them bad advice.
