can't add list of symbols to portfolio

I copy a comma delimited list of ticker symbols (from a text file), then go to '+Add symbols' on a portfolio. In the dialog, I paste the list into the field. Instead of being able to simply add the entire list, the dialog does a lookup on the *last* symbol in the list and that is the *only* one I can add. This cannot be the intended behavior.
