Unnecessary images in news feed

Why did you recently decide to add images into the news feed?  They are unnecessary, do not add value, and consume significant space. They also make it harder to scroll through and read the subject line and having a Seeking Alpha image placeholder is really annoying. I know I am in the minority, but I specifically subscribed to the service for your unbiased news. Creating a barrier for me to consume the news does not play well for a renewal.
