"50% offer"

Received several "50% offers" to go Pro / Essential. While I appreciate the offer, this is NOT 50% off. It is less than a one month savings and no more. Please do not use false advertising. It  makes you look really REALLY bad

$13.94* / mo ($167 up front)
= $167 + $13.94 x 12 = $334.28

$29.99* / mo (month to month)
= $29.99 x 12 = $359.88

Unless you have mis-worded your supposed "50% off" offer, which is also bad.

How would you rate the customer service you received?

Thank you for the feedback. To clarify, the price is $167 for an entire year, there are no monthly payments afterwards. The offer is actually slightly more than 50% off, as 50% of $359.88 is $179.94 and we are offering the year for just $167.

Have noted your understanding and we'll take that feedback forwards when we word future offers

Actually the details are not in my numerous emails from you. I see a huge 50% off banner. And the fine print at the very bottom simply says:

"Limited time offer expires November 26, 2018. Only valid on new annual subscriptions for registered users of Seeking Alpha. The offer of "Save 50%" has been calculated against the regular cost of a monthly Essential subscription."

This does not explain in any way how the 50% off offer works nor if it really 50% off. And my math above still stands. Either you have mis-worded the offer or else you are not truly offering 50% off.

I'm not being hostile. I'm simply trying to let you guys know that you haven't gone about this right. You've got a bunch of math whizzes here as your customers (no sarcasm intended). Make the offer clear.

Hi WS,

Thanks for your message.

The details of the discount were disclosed at the bottom of every offer email.
