Hi there,

As explained above, our data provider discontinued this feature, unfortunately, and therefore we cannot provide this functionality to our users anymore.

We will look into other solutions, but at this time, we cannot provide any ETA or guarantee that this will return. You still have the option to download the data in PDF format and can convert it to excel using online tools that are available on a simple search ( PDF to excel).

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out in case further assistance is required.

Hi,

We are sorry for this but the financials are unavailable for download due to our vendor agreement. As much as we tried to retain it, the vendor agreement did not all allow us to do so.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out in case further assistance is required.

How does this change membership pricing? I paid for a full year expecting to continue to export data for modeling?

One of the main reasons I got the subscription is to be able to export the data of last 10 years in an easy format. Can you please make another export possible (simple text, csv is also fine)? Without this functionality I will not be extending my membership.

Hello,

Is the SA team actively working to solve this or get the feature back? It's a major reason people subscribed in the first place. If your data provider discontinued the feature why can't you develop an export to excel function yourself at SA? It isn't the most technically difficult thing to do I would imagine, it's just an export to excel function, just spend the cash to contract it out or something, it shouldn't be almost a year since you took it away now and no word on its return. I am considering unsubscribing if there isn't any effort being made by SA to bring this back.

Thanks

The ability to download financials to Excel was the main reason I subscribed to Seeking Alpha.  Unless this feature is reinstated, I will discontinue the subscription when it expires.

At the very least, there should be a premium tier that allows you to download individual stock data - if the cost was reasonable, I would pay a little more...

But to remove a feature completely makes you wonder what other features will be removed just as you get used to them.  Not a great way to treat your customers - it's not a minor thing you've removed, it was a major feature of the SA service.

At some point you'll start to notice that people are unsubscribing from SA in droves and wonder why...

So I saw your suggestion and used a premium provider to convert, Adobe Acrobat.
This is how it looks when you download the pdf. and convert it to an excel, and sorry but this is nothing one can work with...

The export feature was a main reason to subscribe. And I am sorry but your suggested workaround is not valid.
