Portfolio Holdings adding shares?

When I add new shares to a holding in a portfolio, the web interface adds a new line for the stock. It would be much more helpful if the portfolio would add the shares together and give the average price basis. That's the information I need. And then, when I click on a holding, there should a drop down that shows the different lots and add dates. That's the way the portfolio works on Morningstar, and at most brokerages. It's confusing to see a separate line entry for each lot. Sometimes, I may buy shares in small lots over a long period of time, and having a dozen lines for one stock is obviously unwieldy.
