$39 or $99

You keep sending me the option to sign up for $39 for premium and then when I follow the links, you want to charge me $99. That's either some questionable business practices or poor programming - neither one good for your reputation...

Yes, can someone address this? I'm having the same issue. Pretty frustrating to say the least. I already can't read articles and now this shady trick. Is this going to be fixed or just ignored?

It appears to be the latter - poor programming for the android app. I was able to sign up for $39 on the PC. This is something alpha should fix sooner, rather than later...

Exactly the same here. I hope the $60 difference is not because I first signed up (free) and then wanted the paid plan (within 5 mins). That would be bad policy. Also it will get you a lot of people making a second account.

Similar bug here. Signed up for $39 promo on the laptop and enticed to put Seeking Alpha app on my android phone which I did. Keeps playing me for a non-premium user. Very frustrating nonsense and a stupid way of marketing. If your subscriptions are mucked up, how am I supposed to trust that your info & analysis is worth spit?

Having the same issue. Says for $39 and then click to subscribe and it's 129. No thanks

I subscribed for the $39 premium offer late last night (27 Dec) on my android smartphone. To date I have not been able to read any articles, and my credit card was alerted to possible fraudulent activity. I have told the card company I did try to purchase the subscription to Seeking Alpha, but if my issues aren't resolved, I will be reversing the subscription charge.

Exactly why I came here, same issue as well. Have they not corrected this still?

I'm seeing the same comments from 2 years ago. I'm not seeing any response from customer service, and no correction to these problems. I'm wondering if there's a scammer hacked into SA and linking you, but no service delivered? I'm not getting any additional service the free account doesn't already provide. Regardless it sounds like fraud and I'm canceling, and alerting my credit card company.

So, I actually got it to work. For some reason it does NOT work on mobile. But when I went on my computer it worked just fine....they even had a $49 option for returning or renewing members. A bit annoying to have to go through the extra hoop but I got it.
