Can't access Premium Service

Upgraded to Premium Service. Created a new account because I changed my email address. New password too. 

How do I delete the free account so I can access the Premium account? When I try to do it myself, I'm told someone else is using 

the new email and password. Of course it's me.

The original free account was jcontrone@cox.net.

The new Premium account is jmcontrone@gmail .com.
