Why don't email alerts work for earnings reports? Can't save non-portfolio alerts as well

Why don't email alerts work for earnings reports? Can't save non-portfolio alerts as well. I'll click on the button to get updated via E-mail but when I return to the earnings page later, none of my selections are saved.

I do not receive emails either on earnings report. I would like to have a section on SA that shows when the stocks in my portfolio are reporting earnings

If you are subscribed to news alerts on a ticker you should get an news alert when they report earnings.
