Becoming a marketplace for subscription sellers

I found seeking alpha 3 or 4 years ago and found it to be an excellent resource. Sadly it seems to be deteriorating. First the subscription service; pretty classic, kind of like Netflix years ago. Offer a free service, generate interest and a base then "if you like it pay for it". Ok it's a business and no one knows if they were making a decent profit from ad revenue and got greedy or not. But lately it seems many/most articles are teasers for the author's individual subscription services. Just about every article I read now is "this was available a week ago to my paid subscribers" and "start your free trial now". The change also seems to have driven some of the better author's away. Sad!
