russian pipeline contamination

The chloride contamination in the Druzba pipeline is clearly having an impact on European refiners. Over a Million bbl per day at play here and the market will no doubt move in response. It seems the source is upstream of the Druzba fork as both downstream lines are affected. So an upstream producer at fault? This would be the best outcome. Otherwise sabotage could be an issue - carbon tet injection? It is a very long line difficult to absolutely keep secure. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
