Seems this red, right side indicator in the Marketplace chat showing that messages below it are new... is only visible for a moment before disappearing - too short to register or be clearly seen. Nelson Mendez at SA says it's a problem via the third-party vendor, and won't be "fixed" (either lengthened or made settings-controllable) until more users like me complain... It used to stay on-screen longer, but in the recent chat "upgrade" this feature and its benefits wasn't accounted for...
positive update: now i am seeing that "Unread messages" indicator, linger - and actually stay put, on at least one of my several MP services. I will report more after next week (due to a family obligation...)
yes, and then on another MP service, it's not visible, since the first moments of MP engagement place me at the bottom-most point (newest posting) on the chat side...
