Website malfunction.

Website crashes and/or freezes and/or re-locates me to different area of article. I thought this may be due to high volume usage, but this occurs seven days a week and all times of the day. This problem seems to be getting more severe as time passes.

Hi folks, the common denominator across all of you who are having this issue is that you use the Edge browser from Microsoft.  Please try this in Google Chrome and let me know if the problem is resolved for you.  Please note that Microsoft plans this year to replace Edge with a new browser which is really just Google Chrome inside.

Thanks,

Jacob

Additionally, this problem occurs regardless of article length or number of comments. It discourages reading.

Over the past 2 weeks, I have been thrown off the site several times. Something has changed at Seeking Alpha. Happens all times of the day and may be linked to the constant refresh of ads.

This website is sick!  I am tired of rebooting webpages in the middle of reading a paragraph. SA is LOSING readers because the website sucks.

Having same issue - page refreshes, taking me to different section of article.  After the 3rd or 4th time, it errors out completely.  It appears to be a change in how the website is refreshing for either ads or comments... either way it is extremely annoying and makes it impossible to finish an article.  This is a very recent problem, so it must be some recent change to your system.

Jacob,  Marlarky!!! Edge works great with all the other hundreds of websites we visit.  Seems like SA needs to hire someone who knows what they are doing.  Blaming Edge is pretty juvenile response.

I did not change my browser from edge to chrome, but I believe that my problem with the site has been corrected by my doing the following:

I went to "settings"
I clicked on "privacy & security"
I scrolled to "cookies"
I changed the default setting
from "don't block cookies"
to "block only third party cookies"
Then I rebooted my computer and all problems with Seeking Alpha cleared up.

Good luck to you all.

Thanks, that is very interesting... What made you try this solution ?

I communicated with Buyandhold 2014 who was having a similar problem.

He said he tampered with the advertisements and his situation improved slightly.

So, I went one step further. Bear in mind this solution has not been in place very long.

Hello,

Would you be able to supply us with the operating system, browser version and geo location that you are seeing this issue in? as that would be a big help in identifying where the issue could lie.

Many thanks,
