I can’t add ticker symbols to my portfolios. Is there a limit to the number I can follow? Note that. I receive no error message; I can search for the symbol & select it but it isn’t added

Yes you are over the limit, It is 400 across all portfolios but some screens on the desktop may let you add more than that.
