popup issues

I don't think the developers of this site appreciate the difficulties some users have in using a site, with constant popup interruptions. Older individuals, and those with visual issues, have enough difficulty reading and using a very valuable site without endless requests asking if we want to be notified about a given stock.  Popups also disrupt the process of intelligent understanding of difficult concepts within complex material.  Why can't we just have an area devoted to stock requests for a notification, without reading interruptions?  Thanks for considering a worthwhile alternative.
