You are blocking access to comments for anyone not a Premium subscriber

While I realize you are attempting to make as much money as possible, blocking people from reading the comments or making comments to articles that we read months ago and have been conversing on for months is going to destroy your clientele and you will never get new subscribers.  There is a cost benefit to where the line should be drawn and cutting off everyone is stupid.  If we have no reason to come to SA as a non-premium user then the term premium is a lie.  There is no usage for anything other than premium makes premium just a basic fee for access.  SA is hardly the only place and beginning to be the worst place to read and comment on market news.  Stupid is as stupid does.  Block all access and block all potential.

Duplicates 1
New "cover screen" over old comment streams is rendering SA as a useless place to go

As an SA user since 2010 I have watched you slowly destroy the reasons to come here.  Now you have blocked access to past comment streams on 'expired' articles, without a subscription.  That's pretty much the last straw.  Why would I want to come here any more if I can't go back more than a couple weeks to see content from past comment streams?

Your attempts to monetize SA are destroying its value and the chances of ever reaching your goal.  Given the multiple "surprise" restrictive changes that seem to appear without warning, how do you honestly expect anyone to subscribe to anything?  I've no desire to do so simply because I believe you would continue to turn the screw every couple months by further restricting what my money buys in the way of access.

For now, I'll likely keep reviewing free content, but one day in the not too distant future, I will probably just give up on SA entirely.  I can see the lengthy stream of complaints you receive in this vein, and yet you continue on by incrementally destroying what little value remains.

Best of luck with that.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. The issue is fixed - you should be able to continue the conversation on commented articles.

It is not working for me. Comments are reported, but I can't see them.

it really stinks that I have blocked most all of my comments on articles even though they have been polite opposing perspectives to the ill researched author’s. And this is why I’m canceling my subsription and deleting the ap

The comments do not load, but there is no "subscription pop up" either.

I already posted the screen shot in the other feedback thread. My OS is

Win 10 Ver 1909. Browser is Firefox Ver 73.0.1.

As suggested by SA used different browsers. MS Edge worked, but I dislike it and will drop SA rather than change browsers. If I clear cache and use incognito or private mode, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera work. But again, I'm saying goodbye over too much technical hassle. My setup of Firefox works on every website except SA. I've no further interest in troubleshooting access to a website with declining value to me.

@SA Eugene Kovalchuk your theory that the uBlock add in is the source of the Firefox problem was correct. Thank you!
