Why does SA open a new window whenever I click on anything? Does not happen at other sites so Its not my browser

We tend to open in new tab in situations where either it is a link to an external website or where it is difficult for the user to get back to the position in the list eg a list in portfolio or screener.  Most of the time, we open in the same window.

Many links within SA that I click on open new windows within chrome when I don't want that. I want it to to the new page in that window.

The logical answer is that you have your web browser set to open all new links in a separate window vs a tab. Can't guarantee this but it's worth checking.

does not happen with any other site which is why I said that in my question.
