PerimeterX

Did PerimeterX just get implemented on the website? I am constantly getting asked if I'm a robot or not and it's really a bad experience. I'm not sure why today was the day that it is constantly being thought that I am a robot (bot) by the PerimeterX service, but it's killing the experience.

Same here as well. I have to use a VPN connection and this thing is denying everything...

Hi,

We have temporarily disabled it while we try to diagnose why some users are falsely being identified as bots.

Are you using a proxy server?

Yes, I was using a proxy server (VPN) at the time.

I'm getting constantly prompted to Press and Hold as well.

I'd post this as a new item rather than a comment on a 6 year old post, except the feedback site is largely broken at the moment, as it's stuck in a state of constant refreshing.

I implemented PerimeterX into an app I managed years ago, and it's not a great platform. There's no magic machine learning, just a bunch of clumsy rules that need to be micromanaged. Ultimately, we stripped it out as we determined it wasn't worth the expense and failed to catch most actual bots. But if SA is committed to micromanaging, I'd wager that rules related to request velocity need to be changed. I see PerimeterX prompts most often when I'm clicking around rapidly.
