Recent format change

It seems there's been a recent format change. I subscribe to Phil Davis Option Opportunities. We used to get a bubble near the top of the screen that showed notifications of new comments being posted. I no longer see this so I feel less aware and this method used to seem simple enough. Why is it no longer there? Also, what I call the chat window pops up when the page is loaded. It is now very large and I constantly have to minimize it. It used to be smaller and mostly be out of the way on the right side of the screen. These recent changes also exist when I use my android based device. I've always selected version when using my android device because I've never been able to get the same effect using the SA app. In conclusion, I don't like the changes. I can't see how they benefit the subscriber. It would be nice if you could make the site easier to use, not more difficult.
