Article authors posting to their own articles with alter egos

I have noted issues with some article writers issuing responsive commentary to their own articles using an alternate ID or ego. In doing so, the alter ego appears to be supporting the thesis of the article writer, while attempting to appear as independent. This is neither beneficial to the community or informative. Itis entirely self serving and disingenuous, and certainly lacking in ethical behavior. Such practices should be banned on the site, and those engaged in such practices should be subject to disciplinary action, including potential account suspension and loss of access to serve as a contributor.
