Cannot update portfolio.

Unable to update portfolio quantity of shares and prices.  Since SA is always switching me back and forth between Premium, it has made the experience unsatisfactory.  Will refrain from further activity.

How would you rate the customer service you received?

Answer does not address issue at all.   I know the procedure to do updates well after being on SA and a contributor over 6 years.  It does not work NOW.  Please fix.  Arthur Frentzel

Thank you all for the sharing details regarding the issue, I have relayed the concerns to our tech team and we will fix the issue very soon.

In the meantime, you can remove the decimal symbol from shares and 0's that follow and that should fix the problem, like such:

1.

2. Click Edit

3. remove ' .0000 ' and edit new value

4. This should update your portfolio

I understand that this is only a temporary workaround, and we're working to resolve this permanently.

Yes, the same problem.

Can't add new position to portfolio.

Message from site

"Please make sure you have a whole number in the “SHARES” field, and that you are not using letters or any symbols other than number"

Number of Shares are in format 100.0000 instead of 100 (for example)

I have the same issue today in adjusting shares

The only way to get your portfolio to update is re-enter every number (shares & price) removing all decimals.  If you have a large portfolio, this gets teidous.

Hi Arthur Frentzel,

I want to thank you for contributing in SA growth story with your articles, and that comes with 30-day free premium access. We are introducing a new layout for 'My Portfolio' page and we're rolling this out in batches, first to our premium users and soon to the non-premium users as well.
I apologize for the inconvenience you're facing, here's how you can edit holdings in your portfolio:
1. You can go to 'My Portfolio', click the 'Data' tab on the far right, and click edit on the right (or at the bottom of your portfolio), please see a screenshot attached below for reference:

Hope this helps. Kindly reach out in case further assistance is required.

I have this same problem.  I tried to re-enter all prices/counts as whole numbers but this did not resolve the issue.

I did try the other edit button shown, but the issue persists.

I have tried this on two different browsers (Chrome and Safari) on macOS.

Kushal,

When you click data (2) then Edit (3) the edit page come up with decimals in the the "shares" column for every stock and gives the error message and red stars every holding, see below.
