"My feed" is broken

On the Android app:

"My feed" is always blank. 

I see 8 months ago an admin said My Feed is being replaced by a "people I follow" experience. But this is completely redundant with My Authors. Basically a key feature has been removed for no apparent reason. The seemingly deprecated options for My Feed are still there, even. Why can I set options for something that doesn't exist? 

Without My Feed, the app is really bad because there's no way to access Popular Articles or SA Recommendations or, generally, to discover new authors (except for scrolling through each category individually, which is objectively worse than My Feed).
