I don’t like the new page. I used to only see the info on stocks I was following. Now when I get those alerts I no longer see just mine. Plus there is no way to clear the long list. The old version was better.

until I can clear all the old junk off my page this new version is broken. I don’t want to see dozens and dozens of items. How hard could it be the put back the “Clear All”? Two minutes.

Hi all,

I will try to answer some of the queries raised above.

The new portfolio page is packed with a lot of useful features while keeping everything that you loved about the old portfolio.
1. JUMP TO ARTICLES - You can jump to articles related to your portfolio by clicking on 'View Headlines' on the far right or you can collapse your list of stocks by clicking on your portfolio name (Portfolio 1, in this case) and clicking 'All Portfolio'

2 EDIT HOLDINGS - You can edit shares in a lot by clicking on shares and then choose to edit or add lots:
A.

B.

C.

D.

3. SORT ALPHABETICALLY - You can also arrange your stocks alphabetically by clicking on the symbol column, and then arrange them in ascending/descending order and you can also have a custom sort on any other column like 'Change %', 'Volume' etc. Your desired sorting will be saved by default.

Additionally, you can view a lot of helpful metrics like Earnings (to track earnings call date), Growth, Performance etc. that will aid you in managing your portfolio.
I'm sure in due time you will find the new portfolio page very useful and friendly.

portfolio summary is a mess... i have hundreds upon hundreds of tickers in mine and don't want to see their stats on the summary page. the old view was perfect and was providing the news/headlines that I needed. now, i have to either scroll thru the holdings and/or click the "headlines" tab that will do the scrolling for me. i sure hope this is not the final product.

I absolutely second that. It was much, much better before the change.

Moreover, there  are serious bugs. The page “Holdings” is repeating all my tickets two or three times, and the last columns about the gains or losses so far are not available.

How on earth you do a change like this without telling your clients and without running a beta-site for some weeks? Major failure!

Hi all,

Can you please share the following information

Platform: Desktop website or Mobile app iOS/Android
Page: Trending or My Portfolio

Also, I want to know if random tickers have added to your portfolio? if you can share a screenshot, it'll help us understand the issue better.

I'm on a desktop. Looks like you've added the ability to minimize all of the tickers underneath a portfolio - nice. It's now almost back to how it used to be. Can you add the ability to right click on a ticker symbol that's appearing linked to an article that will open up in a new window? (ticker symbol underneath an article/news post). Thanks.

I am under my portfolio using both an iPad and an iPhone. I scroll down through the portfolio and eventually see what looks like dozens and dozens of post that I have no interest in. I only want to see the notifications about securities in my portfolio and then be able clear using the drop down that was in the previous  version.

Thanks,

my main problem now is that it appears that you can’t put more than a line per ticker in one portfolio. I manage each purchase of a specific security as a separate transaction, so if I buy that security 4 different times, I have a line for each, with its date and its price. It was perfectly doable in the old version. But I can’t do it any more!

This is a miserable change.  Looks like some IT person needed to justify themselves and screwed around to do something.

Who wants all the stock prices like that?  It's not like we can trade on your platform.

Your content is your articles.  Don't bury your content.

You are screwing up.

I agree with all the comments above.  This is a mind boggling change.  On desktop, I want to see articles/headlines first.  That's the value of seekingalpha.  In the old version, the tickers on a mini tab on the left side, out of the way, was perfect.  I rarely clicked the old portfolio/data tab.  Now I'm forced to see it all the time.  The "view headlines" shortcut is not the same thing, because it forces me to do an extra click after a refresh.

That was something that I noticed immediately as well -- it's no longer possible to click on a ticker symbol under an article/news post.  Impressive that this passed QE.
