Portfolio display

Ergonomy is a big issue with the new Portfolio display in Holdings mode.

First of all, there is no reason to start always at Summary, it should start in the position left when exiting the prior time Portfolio.

Second, colors are as important as fonts

It is well known that using several fonts in document is off putting.

The colors are presently mixed in such a way that the relevant informations are lost to the eye.

The blue color is useless to start with (number of stocks).

The news regarding the stocks in the Portfolio have the same problem than the first issue I complained about, e.g it starts always with Latest, which has too many articles.

It should start instead at the last mode used earlier (consistency).

To scroll to the bottom of the portfolio to read the stocks news is cumbersome.

Rather, I recommend using your message notification format (under the bell) which is intuitive with the stocks.

E.g when a news/article item is published about a stock, a notification would show up close to the stock's name.

Clicking on the label, would offer the list of news/articles which have not been read yet regarding the said stock.

Infinite pages should be used parsimoniously in general, but this isn't the case presently, as it mixes the news from all the stocks in the portfolio over an infinite time.

Do you have a user interface specialist?

There is a good deal of work to do to make the modifications palatable.

Thanks for the detailed feedback !  Very much appreciate it.

We made the number of stocks blue as a clue that this is what you click on in order to Add, Edit or delete your holdings.  However, now that we are expanding the view, we are considering another style for this drop down menu.

We will consider your feedback to maintain the last tab clicked for the news section.

We are starting to work on a "notification inbox" view which is going to be launched from the notification icon in the top right corner or the site.  It was previously available only on the previous versions of the Mobile apps and now it will be available on the desktop site as well. It will only show you stocks on symbols for which you receive notifications (email or mobile) so you can control this view.

For now, you can use the "View Headlines" button to scroll down, or the "all portfolios" view for easier access to headlines.
