AVG is keeps alerting about the same trojan at Seeking Alpha.
JS:Downloader-FHY [Trj].

Yes, I have the same issue when clicking on notifications for new comments. I reported it to this forum.

Does anyone from SA respond to these virus alerts? This seems to be a pretty serious issue with the SA website.

Hi,
We are actively looking into this. We will update once we find the cause.
Thanks,
Daniel

Daniel,
After I posted about this problem of getting a virus warning from Avast Antivirus when using the SA website, It now seems to have stopped as I have been using the SA website for about the last two hours and I haven't gotten any more virus warnings so hopefully the problem has been solved.

I'm having the same problem. Initially, I though it was my browser, but now it seems it's something else.

Still getting hit immidiately with a new threat warning after resolving the previous one. Using AVG.

Although when I did a virus scan in Windows using Avast Antivirus it didn't find anything, when I did a boot scan I found multiple instances of JS:Downloader-FHY[Trj] that had installed itself in my user appdata. So I wouldn't use SA website for awhile.

I am getting the same warning from Avast. Seems Seeking Alpha and Avast need to collaborate on this issue and get it fixed one way or the other. It seems Seeking Alpha owes the community an email that this issue is being experienced by some community members and that it is under investigation. Steve Rasher

Not resolved for me atleast. Still getting hit with the same JS:Downloader-FHY [Trj] each time I open one of the trending news on the main page.
Edit. Hmm , doesn't seem to happen every time anymore. opening the disney filing suggests fox cede sky race comcast did it again

Seems to have stopped now completely.
Is there any steps we should take because of this? Did our personal info get sold to Korean gansters or something similar?

Same issue this AM with Avast antivirus claiming threat detected: JS: downloader-Fhy[Trj}. Multiple scans show no virus on my computer. So far only having the problem opening articles and accessing my comments (in yahoo email). Not in inbox. I can go to SA site to read articles. If continues I need to turn off my daily emails so i do not have to delete daily. I can access my SA portfolio. No other websites on my computer have a problem. No other yahoo emails have th problem. Only problem is with SA.

Hi,
To provide some more transparency here. Avast & AVG (and possibly others) incorrectly identified a piece of our code as Malware. We have rectified this issue with them and you should no longer see this message. If you still see it, try closing your browser and re-opening Seeking Alpha.
To be clear, no malware, virus or data breach occurred here.
Please don't hesitate with any follow up questions.
Thanks,
Daniel

Thanks for the update.. I did full scans (including boot scans) and found nothing.. Glad it was a false postive

I have scanned my PC, restarted it, opened the browser, closed it, opened it again and I still receive the following error when visiting seekingalpha.com.

Microsoft Defender/SCEP (System Center Endpoint Protection) alerting recently on Seeking Alpha - TrojanDownloader:JS/Vdehu.A

Yes. A few of us are battling this problem for a couple weeks. MSE detects it but MAL B and HitMan Pro doesn't.
