I really dislike whatever changes have occurred recently. I am no longer able to track comments to get updates and the width of the screen now is very narrow for the article, due to things on the left and right of the screen. Please go back to the way things were.
It seems tracked comments have now gone behind the paywall when an article is locked. Previously I was able to track and read new comments even if the article was locked. Please correct this. If I participated in a comment thread, I should not have to subscribe to maintain a dialog in the comment thread after the article is locked.
Hopefully it is just a bug they can fix. If not SA becomes pretty worthless for free users ( or at least me) as the comments sections are more important than the articles themselves.

Maya It's not about how to track comments - the point was that tracked comments are no longer accessible to non-subscribers after the article goes behind the paywall. They previously were, and non-subscribers could respond to or add additional comments even after the article was paywalled. Now, I still receive notifications because I am tracking comments but I am unable to access the comment thread. So there's no point in SA sending me new comment notifications once everything is behind the paywall. This is unfortunate, because a part of the benefit of SA are the comment threads but if non-subscribers are blocked then this takes away from the usefulness of SA.
Came here for the same reason. We now get notifications for new messages in articles we're commented on (same as before), but, when we click the new-message notification to see the new comments in the article, the comments are no longer accessible in the page we are taken to. Please fix this.
