Hi,

We are looking into adding various global equities.

If others would also like to see Canadian tickers added to SA, please +1 this topic and add any comments.

+12

Make it happen!  Let's go!

+11

No need to keep asking. If you want you do, if you do not want, you won't. Simple. Meanwhile, I use Yahoo! Finance.

The only reason I did not take a sub with you guys is simply no global coverage and portfolio.

And yet, four years later, still no global tickers.

I would like to see Canadian stock added to Seeking Alpha.  This is one of the most thorough stock analysis sites on the web and a lot of Canadian stock are actually available, but no tickers are from the TSX or TSX-V.  Would like to see this happen!

I merged this request with a previous one. We are currently seriously considering adding Canadian tickers along with other global equities.

+5

How seriously are you considering it?  This was 4 years ago...

+11

I am Canadian and buy about half my stocks on the TSX. Although I love the layout of the U.S. stocks I own and follow, Is there any update on being able to follow Canadian stocks purchased on the TSX and Canadian Venture exchange.

+6

We can see how serious you are, lol. Four years later and no global tickers.

+2

You already have one Canadian company, Just Energy (JE), and it trades on the NYSE. The 50 cent dividend is paid in Canadian dollars, however, so after conversion to USD you don't get 50 cents. The yield you are showingfor JE is the CAD dividend divided by the USD share price -- this is not the correct yield.

+8

Cannot believe that even Canada tickers are not supported or possible to include in the portfolio. Bye bye!

+3

My base is Euro, but I try to buy and follow all my stocks in their home currency. To see at SA RY and TD in USD confuses me every other day.

+7

Still no Canadian stocks?  Any better solution than Seeking Alpha for us Canucks?

+4

investing.com and ca.investing.com

You can follow stocks on Canadian markets

+5

I agree, it would be helpful to have Canadian tickers added. I would expect a site such as this one to have that option.

+7

wow, this thread started 2 years ago, but no Canadian tickers added

to me as a Canadian, this is a big drawback for using SA portfolios

this thread with 11 upvotes does not reflect the true demand for Cdn tickers

+4

I have Canadian bank stocks and own them in Canadian dollars.  You show the stocks but in us dollars

+8

Yes, please include TSX like Barchart.com. There are many, many Canadian companies listed on both US and Canadian exchanges. It would be fantastic. Shalom.

+6

This should have been done years ago. I don't understand why SA is dragging its feet. Currently there are no competing boards covering the TSX.

Most investment in the TSX is American, and the TSX is the foremost exchange for mining, energy, and now cannabis companies in the world.

+6

yes please add cdn stocks

+5

I'd also like to see Canadian markets. Perhaps a Markets Page similar to Teletrader showing other markets such as Hang Seng, Nifty  50, Germany 30, CAC, UK 100,etc.  Pre-market info would also be good, as well as Volume.  Keep improving the website, it's a good service.

+2

Any updates as to whether this feature will be added and a time frame?

Thanks...

+5

For every one that click "like" and post a reply here, there must be a thousand who have not and will continue to follow their portfolio elsewhere.

+4

I agree Pierre, but NO Fleur de Lys Flag?

The T.S..E would be good to add.

+4

It would be great to add TSX listed stocks, then I would subscribe to the Premium account features of Seeking Alpha

+2

I just took the trial subscription, I'm disappointed that you don't support TSX

+6

Yep cant quite understand why TSX and TSX-V would not be here.

+3

Actually TSX and ASX are the main exchanges for metals and mining. Odd to not have either when there is such a strong commodity following here.

+7

Yes, please. I understand that funding analysis and publish research is a big investment. But can you atleast enable the ability to add Canadian (TSX) tickers to the portfolio and see financials and charts? That would greatly help. Right now, I am not able to use your portfolio tool because you don't allow TSX tickers.

+3

Another reason to add TSE quotes: closed-end blockchain funds, like QBTC.U

Another year gone... Very disappointing communication and delivery on commitment.

I like a lot about this platform, but will not be renewing based on lack of global ticker support (Canadian in particular).

+1

Agreed, it's the only reason I haven't yet subscribed.

+2

How's that Canadian ticker roadmap coming?

+7

Yes please! Both TSX and TSX-V would be great. I have ~half my activity on CDN exchanges, but cannot accurately reflect these in my SA portfolio watch. Faking currency conversions and misaligned ticker symbols (ex. GDDFF vs FOOD.TO) is annoying, and leading me away from the SA environment.

+3

I have to cancel my membership, you guys should clearly communicate that you don't have the ability to add info on Canadian exchanges.  Your competitors are already there!

+4

lol  4 years ago... wtf

+1

also looking to add TSX listed symbols

+5

please add the option to add TSX tickers please ! I don’t want to pay for a subscription that will  be useless without

+6

Thanks for the feedback, it's part of our 2021 roadmap.

I queried this topic ONCE, just recently and currently have ONE Canadian equity.  I did not ask about this the topic a few years ago, not that .of four (4) years ago. Drop the subject already.

+3

Canadian stocks would be useful. I have to use another program for now

+6

Canadian stocks would be fantastic... Please add this functionality ASAP!

+7

I'm happy to let you know that, we're rolling out support for Canadian symbols in the coming weeks.

+3

Nope.... still waiting.

+3

This was 4 months ago - what's the hold up? I won't subscribe until you do.

+2

LOL...here we are, five months later, and still no Canadian stock support? we really need this....I have the majority of my portfolio in US stocks, but ALSO have so many Canadian bank and other dividend stocks, and it just doesn't work having a portfolio covering only 70-80% of your stocks. BTW - there are like 30-40 million of us Canadian up here! Please get on this! Thx

+3

are you able to provide an update? I find it extremely unprofessional to have been making promises you can’t keep. #unsubscribing

+2

I have been aware of SA for years, but as a Canadian with a majority of assets in Canadian securities, there is no motivation to subscribe to SA, however great the platform is for US securities. The Canadian market has a high correlation to the US market, many securities are interested, securities are affected by the same economic factors  on a very similar timeline. What is the problem and what is the lack of motivation?

+2

That was two weeks ago... when will this happen?  This thread goes back over four years.

+1

I was about to use it after creating an account but my first ticker (bitf.v) isn't there.
Looks like I'll use Yahoo Finance then, unless you decide to move but my hopes are low since this has been requested since the last decade.

+1

I have a stock from Aequitas neo exchange which when the stock symbol is used in another exchange it gives a completely different result

+7

would subscribe premium if Candian stocks available!!

+6

Looks like you guys have no interest in adding listed Canadian stocks/bonds/ETFs

+6

just got subscription, having seen these guys on Globe and Mail.... can't believe they don't cover TSX. am going back to cancel the subscription... very disappointing

+5

When in 2021 will Canadian stocks be included?

+6

Canadian stock/bonds/etfs hope to see them soon. TSX is fantastic for dividend growth

+4

Half of my portfolio is invested into the TSX. As a Canadian, I seek ways to support the Canadian economy and investing in companies like Telus, Royal Bank of Canada, and Shopify as locally as I can is a great thing for me.

I back the idea of adding TSX! 100%

+1

I just subscribed - discovered I cannot add VEQT to my holdings ? Unsubscribing.

+4

i would like to subscribe to premium version but will not until the tsx is included.......I am canadian and invest 50% in Canada and 50% in USA.....looking at this thread it appears you were going to include it months back but have not yet.....it would be nice to have clear answers about this!

+4

Not subscribing until Canadian stocks are added, six years and multiple "it's coming" announcements? What's the situation?

+5

Just subscribed to this service to find out that Canadian stocks are not covered.  This is a huge disappointment.  Will likely cancel before the expiry of free trial period.

Well don‘t stop there.  What about UK or CH exchanges?  Yahoo Finance handles this effortlessly (and for free in their portfolios)?  What is the challenge for Seeking Alpha?  Not everybody only invests in ADRs.
