Emails

I was writing an email to a person who I follow and this email is thru the Seeking Alpha Portal. I wanted to add additional information from another web site link to include in my email so I opened another tab to get this additional link and when I got back to this email I was writing it was gone. Is it not automatically saved or is there a way to get this  incomplete email. Spent time and effort as I was writing to this person.
