iPhone app says I have a notification badge to read but I can’t find it

i have a constant 1 on my phone app for notifications, even when I don't have notifications. Just downloaded the new version and its still there. Its driving me nuts. Any thoughts or a fix?
Notifications badge on iPad OS won’t clear after 5.2.3 installed.

you can individually clear all notifications, or click on the 'clear all' button and remove them all.
The unread notifications are highlighted in bold.

I just updated to 5.2.4 on iOS, but the issue still persists. I was hopeful they would address it, but the notification icon of 1 is still there, despite me opening the app and viewing all notifications.
Does SeekingAlpha not test their updates before releasing them?

Well, they just released an update on iOS (5.2.4) that was supposed to fix it, but of course, it did not. The issue still persists, despite me viewing all notifications.
At this point, I’m ready to just delete the app, as it’s quite annoying how something so simple can be overlooked and not be addressed.
Actually it appears to have fixed the issue with my iPad. Try deleting and reinstalling the app and see if that works.

Thanks for the suggestion! That seems to have fixed it for now. I will wait for the next notification to come in, so I can confirm.
Well, I may have spoken too soon. The non disappearing notification is not going away after i open the app. Deleting and reinstalling the app had fixed it temporarily but now the issue is back. I will have to turn off badge notifications.
Posted in iPad section but that doesn’t get any attention apparently. After installing 5.2.3, notifications badge won’t clear after opening the app. It worked fine before that update which was supposed to fix a notification issue. For me, it created one. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It didn’t fix the issue. Please address this. Thanks.
