Bogus Black Friday Offer?

Big Game James 1 week ago in Website updated by anonymous 6 days ago 7

I've received numerous emails from Seeking Alpha about the Black Friday 2021 "special" half-off offer. I wrote an email to the "customer support" with specific questions about the offer. Instead of replying to my email with answers, they posted my inquiry on a forum that no one at Seeking Alpha will even bother to read. That is pathetically poor customer service. How can these bozos expect anyone to offer up their credit card info if they can't be bothered to answer a few simple questions? So the question remains, is the Seeking Alpha Black Friday offer legitimate or BOGUS? If it's legitimate, why do they ignore inquiries from potential customers?

Hi all,

Hope you are doing great.

To clarify, the Premium is at a 50% discount under the Black Friday offer as compared to the annual cost of the monthly subscription (i.e $30*12 months = $360)

Hence, 50% off is $179 annually.

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out in case further assistance is required.

Standard price for SA Premium is $ 19.99 a month. 50% Discount is $ 14.99 a month. Hmmm....calculations may have changed since last time I had to use my head and not a computer. Care to explain what is this bogus Black Friday offer Seeking Alpha support team?

Finally heard back from SA Support with answers. In a nutshell, I was confused by how the Black Friday promotion referenced the monthly rate when the offer was only valid on the annual subscription. Plus, I was puzzled by the long delay in their response. Anyway, Support explained that the promotion only applied to the annual subscription. and that it started after the 14-day trial. So I consider the inquiry resolved and may even give it a try.

How does an existing customer even take advantage of the black friday sale?

Is it for new customers only.

I also signed up but can’t access premium articles. Now I want to cancel before getting charged since I can’t access it. Does anyone know how?
