Zombie Notifications

Why do you persist in resurrecting author notifications I've previously cleared for articles dating back 2, 3, even 4 months??? 

This bush league and highly irritating bug telegraphs exactly how little you value users and their time.

It's 2022.  Isn't it long past time to hire competent software engineers who actually test their work product before dumping it on users?  I hear MIT, Stanford, and Caltech still produce them.
