I have been getting the same notification for about 18 stock updates for at least 4 days now....

sure. Both on my Samsung Android tablet and phone I get about 4 or 5 notifications a day at the top of my screen. when I pull it down I see the same stocks and the same articles I've previously read and never* the most recent. I think it has appeared this way since the last Android update about a week ago. So that is my theory as to why.
