I'm not getting updated notifications

Whenever a new article in my feed arrives, I get a notification on my phone (sometimes) 

But after a day or two, the notification that I get just restates old news, and I have to go into the app to see what the new articles are about (the headers are repeated instead of showing the headers for the new article)
