What happened to the main page?

I used to see my portfolio holdings on the left side of the screen and most recent news articles about them in the center and right. Now I have to scroll past all my holdings shown with a bunch of columns I don't care about or have to PAY to see, just to get to my news articles. How do I get rid of all the extraneous columns to get back to the simple list with news articles ?? This new look is nice for once in a while analysis but worthless for daily use.

How would you rate the customer service you received?

Thank you for the very prompt reply ! Your suggestion to collapse the portfolio is helpful. Bottom line is having the tickers, current price, gain or loss for the day in a column on the left, while showing headlines down the center, was a very good use of screen real estate from my perspective. I don't care for the new layout which doesn't allow me to see both on the screen at once. All those other columns are useful in taking a look at my portfolio once in a while but if I need to monitor all those data items every day, I'd be looking at them on my broker's app where I can take action at the time. That's my 2 cents.... thanks again for the quick response. Stay Safe !!Lou

Hi MerlinLou,

you can click on the 'view headlines' button on the far right of your portfolio page to automatically scroll down to the recent news articles:

Additionally, you can collapse your portfolio by clicking on your portfolio name (Portfolio 1, in this case) and select 'All Portfolio'. you will now be able to collapse all your tickers and access headlines directly.

The collapsing is mildly helpful, but it's still a miserable default and requires a click each time to do it (like clicking view headlines).  And then even after you've done it, you have several lines at the top of useless crud, before getting to the old article view.

Do you IT web people think about what people are actually reading on the site?  How long eyes are on articles and how long on stock prices?

I think it sucks. Why did you try to fix what wasn't broken?  the change added no value for me. now its a pain in the ass.  I'll likely look for a different site as a result.
